Humbert Willems of Suriname receives the Wellesley Bailey Award from The Leprosy Mission International.  Holding the flag of Suriname are (left) Dr. Piet Both and Maria Themen-Sliggers.  

"The National Telecommunications Company asked our advice about a public telephone that could be used by people needing a wheelchair. We got the first wheelchair-accessible telephone booth in the country and it was photographed for the cover of the telephone book."
